LONDON (AP) ? British Prime Minister David Cameron is welcoming Somalia's president and a host of international leaders to London for a conference aimed at securing support for the government in Mogadishu after two decades of conflict.
Somalia is co-hosting the conference with Britain, and is expected to detail its plans to develop the country's security forces, justice sector and financial management systems in hopes that international donors will pledge aid.
Delegates include a number of African heads of state and representatives from world organizations such as the IMF and World Bank. They will attend sessions on Somalia's armed forces and maritime security, justice and policing, financial management and political stability at Tuesday's conference in London.
Human Rights Watch has urged those attending to make accountability and women's rights a priority.
