London (Vocus/PRWEB) 25 February 2011
The provider of XLN Telecom?s anti-virus, anti-malware software XLN Secure has won an internationally respected industry award.
XLN Secure is a software download that offers business broadband customers protection against online threats such as viruses and malware, as well as providing an anti-hacker firewall. XLN Secure also offers abuse control to stop employees accessing illegal, unsavoury or time wasting websites while at work. The AV-Comparatives award was given to F-Secure Internet Security 2011. XLN Secure is a rebranded version of F-Secure Internet Security.
AV-Comparatives is a Non-Profit-Organisation based in Austria, which provides highly respected independent Anti-Virus software tests free to the public. Their best product award means that F-Secure was the best product in a test which simulated real life malware threats that a normal user might be exposed to on a normal day. AV-Comparatives awarded F-Secure seven out of seven Advanced+ scores ? the highest possible scores in the different tests measuring the protection and performance of the main antivirus products on the market. AV-Comparatives also said that F-Secure had made the biggest progress in protecting consumers through innovative technology and described it as a well-designed product with a clear and easy-to-use interface.
Sallyanne Hutchinson, Head of IP Business at XLN Telecom, said:
?Connecting your business up to the internet opens up huge opportunities, but the threats need to be managed sensibly too. Even one small lapse in a business?s online security can lead to staff wasting a lot of time and possibly losing money too. We really want to congratulate F-Secure for winning this award and we look forward to working closely with them to keep XLN Telecom as the safest possible provider of broadband to small businesses.?
